The Department has established a set of quantitative indicators to assess the state of the research carried out by our research groups. These indicators are a very important tool that helps us define strategies and support policies for research activities. They allow us to identify both our strengths and our areas for improvement, enabling us to take action to address weaknesses and further enhance our strengths.
The indicators are measured on an annual basis, and the results are compared with predefined benchmark values that help us assess whether the research activities carried out by the Department are being performed satisfactorily. The values obtained in the most recent assessment are as follows:

- What is an Indicator? It is an instrument that provides information about a certain condition or the achievement of a certain situation, activity or result. An indicator must necessarily represent a relationship between variables. This is because, without a reference point, it is difficult to establish whether there is change or improvement.
