If you are arriving at Barcelona - El Prat Airport and want to travel to Tortosa, there are two convenient public transport options: train and bus. Below you will find detailed instructions for both:
1) By Bus (recommended)
The Hife bus company offers direct services from Barcelona Airport (Terminal 1) to Tortosa, with no need to move to Barcelona city.
- Travel time is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the service.
- Buses depart from the long-distance coach area at Terminal 1. Floor 0. Arrivals Platforms 7-12.
- Tickets sale. Terminal T1. Floor 0. Arrivals.
- Also you can check schedules and book tickets at https://www.hife.es/en (departure station: BARCELONA AEROPUERTO // Arrival station: TORTOSA Estació d'Autobusos) - Approximate frequency: every hour ( the bus driver is NOT authorised to sell, change or cancellatef bus tickets).
If you arrive at Terminal 2, there is a free shuttle bus to Terminal 1 - Frequency: every 5 minutes
2) By Train (Rodalies R16)
- From Terminal 2 of the airport, take the R2 Nord Rodalies train to Barcelona Sants station (approx. 20 minutes).
- If you arrive at Terminal 1, there is a free shuttle bus to Terminal 2 - Frequency: every 5 minutes
- At Barcelona Sants, transfer to a Rodalies R16 train heading to Tortosa.
- The journey from Barcelona Sants to Tortosa takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
